Welcome to the homepage of our CDN. This is where the common files for our websites are kept and requested for by websites on our network.

A CDN is short for Content Distribution Network or Content Delivery Network. It operates on the principle that files like JavaScript, Images, CSS, etc are delivered to the end-user from the server that is geographically closest to them, thus allowing pages to load faster. First, the webpage sends a list of files needed to the main CDN aswell as an IP address. The CDN then traces that IP to find its location and sends the files from the server closest to that IP. • User browses to webpage
• Webpage sends filenames and IP address to CDN
• CDN traces IP and chooses nearest server
• CDN sends the files back to the webpage from the closest server
